Hello everyone!

I purchased these gorgeous AND comfy floral pants in the Zara January sales, and what a cheap investment they turned out to be! They consist of a stretchy soft material perfect for the walking and sitting I do on a regular working basis. I also often wear these on a night out with heels, a black/white top, blazer and clutch so it is super versatile. What I like best about these is the floral tones, not too loud or out there but more understated...my kinda style and perfect for every season.

Today I teamed these with casual yet office appropriate dark clothing and silver accessories because the magpie in me would never be bling free on any occasion! I can't finish this post without mentioning my new handbag *sigh*. I got this last week in Dunnes Stores (when I was in fact bikini shoppping) and it was love at first sight. The Savida bag features both short handles to hook on your arm or a removable/adjustable longer strap for your shoulder. It has oodles of space and a cute polka dot pattern inside. The studs on one side add edge to the bag and can convert it from a day-night look. And the colour? Dove grey, need I say more?! Hope ye like the look as much as I do.

Specs Appeal!

Hello everyone!

Hope ye are all having a happy hump day! The weather is still going strong(ish) in Ireland at the moment AND I have a day off work, hurrah! A little story about my glasses journey...at the start of the year I picked up a viral eye infection in my left eye which meant I couldn't wear my contact lenses, those of which I had been wearing on a daily basis for 4 years. It was tough. I know this probably doesn't seem like a big deal to some but If you're not accustomed to wearing glasses on a regular basis again...well it sucks. ESPECIALLY when you hate your glasses with a passion and do not feel confident wearing them.

So, I decided to invest in a brand spanking new pair of glasses plus prescription sunglasses. The sunglasses were a definite MUST aswell as I looove wearing sunglasses (I have about 15 pairs) and always have a pair at hand. Yes I'm one of those who wears them even when the sun ain't shinin'!

Now I have a serious weakness for tortoise shell/leopard print pattern sunglasses and decided that I wanted this kind of pattern for my regular glasses. Of course I got similar style prescription sunglasses from the very delectable and classic Rayban Wafarer range. Major love. For my regular glasses I also wanted frames that were both comfortable to wear (not sticking into the back of your head) and wide enough to see more...if that makes sense?! My previous glasses had a very tiny frame so I literally had to turn my head to see everything. Very annoying. I went for Vogue glasses with a Rayban Wafarer style as I believe they suit my face shape the best (vuuuury oval!).

Two months in and I honestly could not be happier. I feel much more confident wearing glasses and feel that they suit me through and through. If you are in a similar predicament I would suggest investing in a new pair that you feel comfortable with as at the end of the day YOU will be the one wearing them day in day out and you want to be the most confident person you can be!

Hello everyone!

Hope ya'll had a good week and are having a Super Saturday! Yesterday evening I went to a GAA football match and decided that a hat was compulsory. The dreaded summer midgets are out in force during Ireland's mini heatwave. Only one of the downsides of such stellar weather. This lightweight cute hat was a firm favourite last summer and is set to be just as frequently worn this season.

The match was followed by Tapas at the wonderful Church Lane Restaurant where my friend and I ate copious amounts of delicious meats ending the night sharing a mouth watering Malteaser cheesecake. Perfection! A lovely evening all around.

So here you have it, I went for a light shirt from Primark to stay cool but sun protected. A very casual slightly boho look with black and silver accessories.

OOTN: Oh Shirt!

Hello everyone!

A similar phrase like my title (minus the 'r') came to mind this morning when I peeled myself from my bed. I am writing this with a heavy head this afternoon. Last night I went out for dinner with one of my oldest and dearest friends who is home from London for the week...of course I obliged in staying on for drinks...which turned to a pub crawl and finally a club. Yes, I'm weak. I am definitely the a-typical friend who WILL keep going until the fat lady sings, or alternatively until I am broke after buying drinks for EVERYONE! Always up for 'a laugh' is not always a good thing though if my bank balance and head today are anything to go by. But you know what, YOLO y'all!

Here is a snippet of my outfit, sorry the photos aren't great quality. I forgot to turn on the flash *facepalm and this was before the 4/5 (things got a lil fuzzy at that stage) Sauvignon Blanc's, ah here. I went for neutrals, not very summery but it is bucketing in Ireland at the moment so I didn't feel like being very colourful. In saying that the white shirt adds a fresh summer feel to the look.

Hey all!

Just a quick post on my outfit today. Today was a good day. Mom and I treated ourselves to a little shopping trip and the sun also made an appearance, double bonus! I stuck to my boho roots with lighter tones today, delighting in FINALLY being able to wear my knitted fringe camel kimono from Primark without freezing my behind off. I normally wouldn't be drawn to this 'camel' colour with regards clothes as I find it quite draining on my skin tone but with a little St. Mortiz tan I was ready to rock!. It isn't VERY warm so the warmth of the knit came in useful at times today.

I'm also happy to show ye my new prescription sunglasses. Yes I sound like an aul wan but at the moment I have an irritating (in more than one way) viral eye infection so contacts are out, booo :( I have treated myself to new glasses and sunglasses of late. The ones featured here are tortoise-shell Rayban Wayfarers and I couldn't be happier with them. As an avid sunglasses wearer I have found not being able to wear them horrible, yes first world problems indeed.

Well I hope everyone is having a good week, and hope exams are going well for those of you just starting ye're Leaving Cert/Junior Cert or any other European or World exam variations. It is a stressful time but flies in the end. It is so worth having school exams behind you and pursuing your passions, hopes and dreams.

Buttery Brogues

Hello everyone!

You may be wondering from the heading why I have described my new pretties as 'buttery' but this is the most accurate description I could come up with to do them justice. They are a buttery brown colour, have a buttery soft texture yet structured and left me melting inside at first glance. I am in LURVE with them (If you couldn't tell already). Such was my love for them that I patiently waited 3 weeks for my order to come in. The beauty of Clarks shoes is that they cater for 1/2 sizes...a blessing for someone who is a 5 1/2 and who often misses out on the nicest shoes/boots/heels. Yup, first world problems of the highest order.

So here they are in all of their buttery beautiful glory. These are an investment piece and will be my summer go-to shoe fo shooo. The cutout detail makes them airy and bang on trend. The twine-like laces make the shoe, I think. They are also quite light even though they are leather brogues, another bonus. Ticking all of the shoe-y boxes. Hurrah to Clarkes!

I won't lie they were a pricey €85 but well worth it. I have worn them twice already and can happily confirm I was sans blisters after both occasions. And in all honesty even if they were a little on the ouchy side, good quality brogues are worth a little pain as they become an extension to your foot. Or so has been the case with me, but then I am a brogue enthusiast so I may be a little biased...

Hello everyone!

Well its certainly been hotting up in little Éire these past few days, hallelujah! Whats that saying again? Its prime 'Exam Weather'? Yup as per usual when college exams/the leaving certificate (Final school exams...i.e. BIG DEAL) loom the weather turns miraculously amazing! And for once I am not studying (cramming) and taking exams like I've been doing over the last two decades basically. Feels weird. But enough rambling. The ankles made another appearance in this post hurrah! They were getting awfully fuzzy I won't lie, the beauty regime has cranked up a notch which isn't a bad thing.

So here is a Spring/Summer inspired outfit with my colour of the moment: MINT. Such a pretty understated colour. And the beauty of it is, is that this colour does actually suit every skin tone, always a plus for us pale Irish girleens. Such a clichéd statement but its true, I swears! I went for a more preppy simple look here as my styling preferences vary depending on my mood. I paired this with a vintage (my Moms circa 1993) box top, old reliable leopard print sunnies, some trusty high-waisted jeans and my beloved brogues. These are my shoes and suitable all year round, puuuuurfect.

Hope ye are all having a good weekend whatever ye're doing...and if its sunny for God's sake don't forget the SPF as unfortunately sunburn will never be in vogue.
